About Me
My name is Mihal A. Coyle
I'm Licensed Psychotherapist (CA LMFT #112272), with 15 yrs of experience in treating Individuals, Couples, and Families, as well as leading Groups.

My Story
Mihal graduated the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree (1996) in humanities/theater/film, and Antioch University with a master's degree (2012) in clinical psychology. Also, Mihal attended the UCLA Film Extension Program, and Lee Strassberg Acting School (to expand her understanding of filmmaking / human behavior.)

In her private practice, Mihal combines her skill and experience in psychotherapy and filmmaking to provide a variety of services - ranging from individual and conjoint therapy sessions (which includes families, friendships, and work relationships), to creative sessions, to consulting on projects and in companies (interpersonal and strategies.)

Mihal's main focus is working with couples, families, and other relational dynamics - such as, friendships, co-workers, and relationship to self, others, and the world around us.

Mihal works with couples - and any other dynamics - navigating pre-marriage, marriage/relationship expansions (ie open, poly), conflicts, infidelity/betrayal, reconciliations / healing, and endings - ie separation, divorce, co-parenting. Mihal's open-mindedness and non-judgmental approach is helpful to her Clients in the work they do together.

"I've learned so much, and continue to, from my own relationships (the healthy and not so healthy parts), conflicts, and resolutions; all that, combined with my clinical interest and research, is a helpful combo that I offer to Clients."

Mihal's approach is mix-modality - mainly humanistic, relational, existential, cognitive-behavioral, and experiential - integrating a balance of cognition, education, strategy, and mindfulness.

"From my perspective and experience, Therapy can be a journey of inquiry, exploration, discovery, and healing.
A place to gain helpful knowledge, insight, and tools. I myself have been (and am) a Client, and know how beneficial and rejuvenating it can be - in both challenging and rewarding ways."
"IT'S NOT WHAT YOU LOOK AT THAT MATTERS, IT'S WHAT YOU SEE."
